I am excited to share a new creative venture I’m supporting: the East Midlands Equity Podcast — a show hosted by members of the East Midlands Branch Committee, with me as anchor, lending my production and digital know-how behind the scenes. Pre-production planning and Post production by PCM

Recorded back in June and release mid July this was the pilot. The team came together for the first time this was the result. The first 4 episodes are lined up and being published fortnightly.
We’re kicking off with a 16-episode first season, releasing a fresh 10-15 minute episode every two weeks. The aim? To create a regular signal boost to promote the branch to the region, where Equity members and performing arts professionals in the East Midlands can meet in person, connect, share updates, and spotlight the incredible talent and industry support activity happening across our region.
The pilot episode – Meet the Hosts & Why This Podcast Matters – introduces our hosting team:
Mel Parker – voice artist with a knack for clarity and warmth
Ken Ogborn – award-winning actor, voice artist, and puppeteer
Kim Gillespie – applied theatre practitioner and director
Me, Caron Lyon – XR producer, dramaturg, and digital creative
In the pilot, we talk about:
Why this podcast exists and how it will support members
Making branch activities more accessible across our wide geography
Plans for regular features like Conference Uncovered, Cast Your Vote, East Midlands Spotlight, Campaign Catch-Up, and Did You Know?
The importance of amplifying regional voices and sharing knowledge beyond the meeting room
